Besides being a Captain, he is an overall outdoorsman, with extensive fishing and hunting knowledge. He is passionate about sharing his outdoor enthusiasm with others. He also feels strongly that introducing and educating kids to fishing and hunting the outdoors is a worthwhile investment, as it provides an opportunity to instill sportsmanship, conservation, and a love for the natural world. Captain Schirra has spent the majority of his adult life in the sports fishing and hunting industry, giving him firsthand knowledge of the angler and outdoorsman expectations. He ensures those expectations are accomplished on every guided charter.
